DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) — Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of a deadly blaze at a condominium in DeKalb County, which killed two people. Officials say that the fire broke out around 11:20 p.m. Wednesday.
The blaze is being treated as a homicide investigation. Investigators have found that the fire started in a single unit at the condominium in the 2300 block of Brannon Road. The victims have not been identified. A condo association board member says that there is no evidence that the victims were forced to leave their home. They had lived there for more than a decade. The fire destroyed the interior of the single-story condo, but did not spread to other units in the complex.
