Explosion proof devices have complex designs that prevent sparks from igniting combustible compounds outside of the device. They are designed to contain an internal explosion and keep the explosive material from spreading outwards. These devices can be constructed from metals or non-metallic, non-sparking materials.

Electrical explosion proof actuators work by converting electricity into linear motion for control of industrial valves and dampers. They are capable of opening and closing these devices as well as regulating a flow more or less intensively depending on the need.
